Baby Let Me Take You Home / Gonna Send You Back To Walker

B-Side:  Gonna Send You Back To Walker
Credited to:  The Animals

Producer:  Mickie Most

UK: Columbia DB 7247 - March 1964 - #21

USA: MGM K13242 - August 1964 - #57
Pop: #15

Notes:
Mickey Most maintained that "Baby Let Me Take You Home" was not derived from "Baby Let Me Follow You Down" which featured on an early Bob Dylan album - but was actually a cover of a variant of the same traditional song on the Chess Label (probably by Rufus Thomas).
"Gonna Send You Back To Walker" was a cover of "Gonna Send You Back To Georgia" - a minor hit for Timmy Shaw in early 1964. The reference to Walker in Newcastle (England) was of course more relevant to The Animlas' English roots than Georgia).
