| An interesting and enjoyable compilation of tracks ... however clearly not all of these recordings feature Eric Burdon and the information provided with the CD is very confusing. For example, on a page containing two big photos ... one of The Original Animals at the time of the 1983 re-union (featuring Valentine, Steel, Burdon, Price and Chandler) and one of The Animals from around 1965 (featuring Valentine, Steel, Burdon, Chandler and Rowberry who had by then replaced Price) ... the text says "The Animals are Hilton Valentine, John Steel, Dave Rowberry, Jim Rodford and Tony Liddle". The line-up referred to was the 1999/01 band formed by Hilton Valentine that toured as "The Animals". The band was a spin-off from the 1996/99 Valentine band that had recorded as Animals II (refer the "Greatest Hits" 1997 CD that was also released in 2000 as the "Interesting Life" CD) and contained Hilton Valentine, John Steel, Steve Hutchinson, Steve Dawson and Martin Bland . | ||
