| 45 rpm vinyl single - USA 1966 - MGM K13582 |
| "See See Rider" /
"She'll Return It" |

 |
|
| Produced by Tom Wilson and released in February
1966. |
| Reached #10 in the UK. |
| Reached #10 in the USA. |
| |
| This single was to become the last hit recorded by
The Animals (posthumously released after the break up of the band at the
end of a protracted US tour). Perhaps as a sign of things to come, the USA pressings
were credited on the labels to Eric Burdon & The Animals (the UK
release was credited to The Animals). |
| The line "Jenny Take A Ride" near the
end of the song is believed to be a "swipe" by Eric Burdon at
the Mitch Ryder & The Detrot Wheels hit "Jenny, Jenny / C. C.
Rider" which appears to have been a "rip-off" off from the song that had
long been a part of the live concert repertoire of The Animals.
|
| This mono release features a 2:46 edited version of "See See
Rider". |
| Thanks to Dionisio Castello of Terracina, ITALY for recording
details (refer his 1990 book "Good
Times"). |
